Here are my notes:
-The Opening Banter needs to be tighter (which Cher even said from the stage it will be)
-The Laverne video needs to be later on in the set
-All the oldies, Sonny & Cher stuff, etc...can be one costume, not 18
-It would be great to see the inside of the closet, not just another way to make a quick change. It was cool once, but 3 times, not so much
-Love Is A Battlefield, as much as I love it, does not need to be in the show. She sounds great on it, and its cool to watch, but its not a song of hers, and starting off a show with 3 covers? She has enough of her own material to make the audience go wild.
-If you are going to cover Dont Leave Me This Way, start off with Take Me Home, and put the verse of Dont Leave Me This Way in the middle.
-If you are going to have that many costumes changes, at least let us see them. People who are not in the very front cant see the beautiful details. Lets have some live footage projected on the sides of the stage!
Here is the thing to remember. Vegas is playing to the everyman. Its not a tour where the dedicated fans are coming out to see the performer. The Vegas way of thinking is, there are many different things to see. Cher is competing with other headliners, but also the Chippendales and Cirque. This also affects set lists. All headliners put more covers in their show to make it more universal. Manilow does it, Celine did it, everyone does. Cher just does not have enough of her own material in the show to balance with the covers.
Interested to see the show when it comes back to town.
