I come in peace!
At the expense of sounding perhaps ungrateful to all of you. I do enjoy popping in to see the latest reviews: what you all have bought at the Cher shop or
on-line like at E-bay or Amazon. I absolutely love seeing others collections. Reviews are cool too. Personal experiences are even better. Stories. Meetings
with whether it's Bubba Carr or Cher herself make me so happy for the people involved...
I only want to comment to those Cher fans who do come here to do just that. I have enjoyed making my own copies of your pictures and learning something about
some of my "fellow" fans. I even enjoy fans who wish the show was this way ...or Cher would do this or that...(we've all done that).
That said, and with all due respect, what I find amazing is the fact that in my years I have learned (mostly in health-care) that misery does indeed love
company. There are like a dozen or so threads with basically the same topic / thread. It's cool if you don't like the set-list too but what about
focusing on taking some positive action. It's cool (it really is) that you don't like the videos but start a petition instead of passing the topic off
and around to the same five or so people. If it really does bother you that badly, then by all means do something about it (in a nice way). Sometimes it looks
and sounds a bit like a town meeting (which I have been to). All talk. No action. Venting is great. Everyone needs to vent. Venting also has a way of
coloring the opinions of others (those who have never been to Vegas or let alone a Cher show). Again misery / negativity (all of it ) breeds more of the same.
It reminds me of that game "telephone" we'd play as a child...one person says something into the next person's ear and so forth until
it's so twisted that the "facts" at the end of the telephone line are nothing even resembling what they were when they started.
If you have a "cause" and you feel it is worth your time and energy then why not focus it...write a letter...petition...find an alternate avenue.
Arguing / flaming / sniping etc. never gets anybody anywhere (except frustrated). I, myself don't equate this board / forum with the type of negativity I
quite often see here. It's fun for me. A place to share. I've met some really great people here. I've also honestly seen some extremely un-stable
people also.
My point, and I do have one, is focus your energy. If you think it's possible, then try to change what you don't like. There are people at
Caesar's. Someone must know Cher's music companies address (WB) (web or otherwise)...A.E.G. ...perhaps even the fan club. Nothing ventured equals
nothing gained. The inter-net is a wonderful pool of information.
In the meantime, And I've said this before...have fun...I am...
I love to blast my music (Cher or otherwise) ...do my scrapbooks...plan my trip...find cool new Cher pics on-line and hear everybody else's stories about
their trips ...meet-ups...collections...favorite songs...movies...concerts...
It should be fun.
Good Luck!
