I recently received "Chastity" in the mail. I was "just not
into it". Of course, I enjoyed seeing a younger Cher but she was sad throughout the entire movie and the story was just...What was Sonny (R.I.P.)
thinking? Wasn't this the movie that made them broke? Anyone viewed this movie? (It's still good to add to my Cher collection.)

ya this movie was kind of odd...enjoyed seeing Cher... And the ending was bizarre. But i have to say my favorite scene was when she was at the gas station.
lol. She had no clue what she was doing.

I have seen it and I thought it did make them temporarily broke. I honestly don't know what Sonny was thinking during that time. It was cool that it was
Cher's acting debut by herself and I'm glad I got to see it, but it def isn't my fave. There were funny parts though.

It's a "different" movie. It definitely fits into the 60's culture. I've only watched my copy once, since I got it last fall. I prefer
watching Good Times though.

I'd seen this movie on AMC i think it was finally a few years ago, a friend bought me a copy for Xmas. I didn't think the movie was that bad; far better than "Good Times"! Altho i haven't watched all of it, just bits & pieces. I also have that one too. I am thinking THAT is the movie Sonny financed & broke the bank with. And if I remember right, Cher hated it. It has some funny parts, i guess, but i sort of liked "Chastity". Cher didn't do too bad for a first time movie for her. I wish she would have made more movies in her lifetime. No matter tho, I will always love Cher, and her singing voice is so phenomemol that it gets me every time i hear her sing! |
