Alright it's very true that aside from some new costumes Cher did not provide anything really new or unexpected in this show. Like many die hards I was hoping for at least one good surprise: Maybe she'll sing at least one obscure hit like "We All Sleep Alone" or "Save Up All Your Tears"- no such luck. All joking aside what I did see was a truly beautiful show and Cher rocking out. Believe me I am a die hard but I'm also hard to impress- this show was great. Yes some costumes, songs, and choreography were recycled-it was still fantastic. The set list was the same as opening night and it's been posted regularly here already, so I won't bother. Possibly my only complaint is that Cher lip synced or sang along to a very heavy backing track on some songs, however majority of the show is her. She struggled in some of the power notes and excelled in others, which is the beauty of live entertainment to me. I also wished she would've opened with her lucky U2 song instead of "Woman's World" I forgot how beautiful the costumes were in person as opposed to seeing them on YouTube and on video, the opening number was fabulous. It was also shocking to see her performing in such a small intimate setting, I was almost in the last row up top and yet she was still very close to see. Cher herself seemed to have a good energy and really seemed to be feeding off the audiences energy, during the last three numbers the house was definitely rocking, I cried during "I Found Soneone" as it is my most favorite of her songs. There is a beautiful electric guitar solo during one of the interludes where 2 dancers use the silks, it really added something to the show. It was also really nice to see a pretty good retrospective of her musical career, technically every major release was accounted for except for Living Proof. Perhaps she'll remove "Strong Enough" and replace it with something from Living Proof. I understand the complaining from others about how there is not enough new in the show...but honestly seeing my most favorite singer who has inspired me so much and whose music gives me so much beauty-it was still magical and a night I will never forget.
